Morrisville, NC
About Morrisville
Morrisville packs a lot into a small footprint. Few places in the Triangle are closer to both Research Triangle Park and RDU International Airport, and the town has drawn national notice: Fortune ranked it fifth in the country in its 2022 best-places-to-live rankings, and Niche ranks it third in North Carolina for 2026.
Its most unusual amenity is a cricket ground built to international standards. Expanded to 3,500 seats, it has hosted an International Cricket Council World Cup qualifier and, in 2024, Major League Cricket matches.
Lake Crabtree County Park, on the town's edge, has paddling, fishing and popular mountain bike trails. Greenways, including the Indian Creek trail with its playground and weekly farmers market, link parks across town, and the town runs its own aquatics and fitness center.
Property tax in Morrisville
The combined Wake County and Morrisville rate is $0.8871 per $100 of tax value: about $3,548 a year on a $400,000 tax value. Every rate in the county, with sources.
